Our Outlook Defines Our Life
Jun 03, 2022
Are you grateful for the good in every day? Maybe you find yourself overthinking your relationships and surroundings? Or, do you hear yourself complaining a lot? If you find yourself continuously frustrated or overwhelmed at the end of every single day, ask yourself what you are focusing on. What does your inner voice keep repeating?
What we focus on expands.
When we are focusing on the negative and criticizing our surroundings, of course we are not enjoying life.
When we place expectations on how we think life 'should' be, it can create a gap between that and reality. This gap is usually filled with feelings of disappointment and frustration. Overthinking, over-planning, and over-analyzing keeps us in a state of worry, judgement, and feelings of 'life never goes my way'. That doesn't sound enjoyable either.
However, if we start to focus on all the good that's out there, our perspective will shift and we will have a better outlook on life.
We can embrace it. We can laugh more. We can see our strengths and appreciate who we are. We can focus on what we enjoy. Life will become lighter and you will feel more overall content.
