Better Than Okay

Our critical inner voice is a pattern of destructive thoughts towards ourselves and others. These could be based on our own fears or repeating negative beliefs we have learned in our life experiences.

Often, we are not even aware that we are internally criticizing ourselves or others.  But doing so can limit us from personal growth, opportunities, and creating authentic connections with others. It can decrease our feelings of self-worth, harm our relationships, and affect our performance. Maybe we don’t put ourselves out there due to underlying fears, worries, or doubt.

We may think that we are not good enough, we are not smart enough, we could never achieve what someone else has achieved, we can’t handle something, or, maybe this inner critic limits us from reaching our full potential. Maybe our inner voice tells us that being okay is enough.

We all deserve to be better than just okay.

In order to change this self-critic, we must first become aware of what that voice is telling us. Listen to the moments when self-doubt or negativity creep in. What is it saying to you? How is it limiting you?
