Activity for Today
Feb 11, 2022
Today, analyze some of your strengths. Below are some typical character traits to help you get started:
• Do you pay attention to detail (or see the big picture)?
• Do you grasp concepts quickly (or are you a researcher)?
• Are you a sprinter (or a marathoner)?
• Are you type A personality (or type B)?
• Are you right brained (or left brained)?
Instead of judging ourselves in areas we are NOT strong in, embrace what our strengths are. For example, I am a sprinter and I now embrace the fact that my brain is more focused when I know I need to get something done.
Also, I am a researcher. My brain needs time to process and understand something new. Alternatively, a good friend of mine grasps new ideas more quickly. Each character trait is okay because the world needs all types of thinkers!
By embracing our strengths, we understand that we can't be good at everything, and that's okay. We begin to accept ourselves for who we are.
Look for a situation today where you can make one of your strengths shine.
Don't forget to celebrate your discoveries!
