Stop Wasting Time

I wish we all could understand just how true that statement is. Our attitude can determine so much. When we have a negative attitude, we see the negativity around us. When we can learn to change our perspective, we can find more joy. 

Sometimes we don't even know when we have a bad attitude or how our attitudes can hold us back in life.

The first step to changing your attitude is to be aware of how you are feeling. 

  • Ask yourself "am I in a bad mood right now?"
  • Do you ever say to yourself "I am my own worst enemy"?
  • Ask yourself if you are holding on to anger or resentment about a recent experience
  • Ask a trusted friend if they think you get in your own way sometimes
  • Think about a recent conflict and try to identify 'your part' (even if it is only a tiny part... conflict can only happen with more than one person)
  • Repeat to yourself "I am worthy." Pay attention to how that makes you feel...

Awareness brings solutions

Not every day is going to be perfect, but if you let it, every day has some greatness to it. When we bring a great attitude to the day, we are more likely to notice the greatness in it. Even if we wake up on the wrong side of the bed or are feeling in a bad mood, there is always a chance to reset our attitude. It’s never too late. Start now.

Here are some tips:

  • Do something you love
  • Get some fresh air
  • Find something to make you laugh
  • Put on your favorite playlist
  • Meditate for 5 minutes
  • Write down 3 things you are grateful for

Stop wasting precious time letting a negative attitude dictate the course of your day. Every day is a chance to create an amazing future, and past we can be grateful for.
