No Excuses
Sep 30, 2022
Coming up with excuses is a fixed mindset.
Once you shift your mindset to a place of curiosity and optimism, you can start to think of all the reasons why you must get it done or make it happen.
Think about how much time is wasted on thinking of excuses for why we can't get something done. Whether it's a simple chore like the dishes or a life-altering opportunity for personal growth, making excuses comes from many different underlying feelings. You may be overwhelmed and overworked. You may feel uncertain because you don't have all the information you need to move forward. You may be fearful of how your decision will impact your current comfort level. You may be filled with self-doubt because you have forgotten how much you've overcome and succeeded thus far.
Think back on the multitude of times you have accomplished something that felt so daunting that you didn't think you could. Remember how strong and resilient you are. Get in touch with the confidence and excitement that you will feel when you get to the other side. Use the tools that you already have to find your motivation.
I've said it before...you are stronger than you think!
