Let Go of the Hot Coal

Forgiveness is important because it eases our suffering. It allows something that once hurt us to stop hurting us.

To paraphrase Wayne Dyer: 'ALL resentments, even the “justified” ones… the resentments against people who have abused you, walked out of your life, or taken advantage of you, etc... wind up continuing to hurt you in the end. These resentments will always end up harming you; creating in you a sense of despair.'

And, to really put this idea into perspective, he broke it down further:

“No one ever died from a snake bite. It is the venom that continues to pour through your system after the bite that ends up destroying you.”

Imagine the relief you could feel by truly freeing yourself from the hurt and anger you are holding onto. Imagine coming at life with more joy.

In order to let go and forgive we first identify, feel, and express our emotions. Then it is time to forgive, release the anger and pain, and move forward.

Forgiveness means not allowing the painful behaviors or actions of another to continue in your life…. it means you are finally ready to be free from the pain.
