Deeper Discussions

Communicate. Communicate. Communicate.

It's important to understand that everyone you meet is fighting a battle

When other people do something that we don’t understand, we don’t like, or is just plain different than how we would do it, our instant reaction could be to criticize or judge. If we go to a third person and complain about the situation, it does nothing to resolve the disconnect.

Instead, talk to the person that said that thing that you didn’t like or didn’t understand. Likely, while having a deeper discussion about it, you will come to an understanding that you never would’ve had otherwise.

By talking it out, you become closer to this person. The conversation may broaden your mind on a topic that you didn’t know enough about or you may just agree to disagree. Both of these are OK.

By communicating, you are taking the action to work through things instead of talking about each other, holding feelings in, or creating drama where it doesn't need to be.

What a beautiful way to reduce stress, bring joy, and value your relationships.
