Baby Steps

And... we will likely make mistakes along the way.
Break it down: Ask yourself how you can break it down to smaller steps. If the steps still feel overwhelming, break it down some more. A step could be as simple as making a phone call, making a list, organizing a small section of a larger area, or creating an outline. If creating an outline still feels too big, break it down to brainstorming ideas through journaling or voice memos. When you have the steps broken down, even if you only have a few minutes, you can look at your list and knock something off it. Before you know it, you will be done.
Time: Depending on the project, it may be something that we could just spend 20 minutes a day on. If you don't have 20 minutes, start with five. Your progress will motivate you and you will start finding more time to finish.
Grouping: Once you have a list of steps, you can group similar steps with each other. For example, make all your phone calls in one sitting, run errands on the same day, focus time on only doing paperwork.
Grouping Examples:
- List making!
- Things that can only be done at home
- Things that can only be done out of the home
- Phone calls
- Computer work
- Paperwork
