Think You Can

Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right. I believe this is a commonly used quote that a lot of people are aware of, however, I don't think we're always good at listening to our inner voice which can either be our biggest cheerleader or our worst enemy. Many people have an underlying thought that they're not good enough. If not feeling good enough comes naturally to you, your inner voice might be telling you what you can't do or what you can't achieve.

Sometimes when we think about something we want to do or achieve that does not fit into our comfort zone, we start to have a fear of the unknown and overwhelm as we think about the process. Sprinkle in self-doubt, and we get stuck thinking we can't do it. Well, if you think that, you're right. If you tell yourself you can't do it, you will miss the opportunities that present themselves to you. You won't be focused on the strengths that you do possess to get it done. 

However, if you can recognize that thought pattern, challenge it. You can become unstuck and excited about a new experience. You will see and embrace the strengths that you have learned along the way. 

It's important to truly understand what your inner voice is saying to you. Is there anything in your life that you want to be doing but are not achieving it? If so, look at the words you tell yourself around that. What are the successes you've had where you feel more confident in that part of your life? Notice the difference you feel and the difference in what you tell yourself.

These thoughts are the start of it all.

Get those straight and you have such a higher chance of having the success and happiness you deserve.
